9-12’s Entry in the Armed Forces Day Parade!
Author: Valerie C | Date: May 17, 2010
Well, we didn’t have the 30 people we were expecting for this event, but those of us that participated had a good time! As it turned out, we were number 83 in the line up, out of about 95 total. So, needless to say, there was some “waiting around time” beforehand, and overall the march lasted about an hour and a half or so… FIVE MILES total, and my goodness does my old body feel it now! Whew… who knew, huh? Certainly not me! I’ll likely need alter my personal plan next year, to climb aboard somewhere around the halfway mark!
Here’s a big THANK YOU to everyone that participated, even showing up early to help decorate the truck and trailer! As always… it only takes a little effort from each of us to make these things worthwhile, and it’s such a pleasure to be around like-minded folks! You’re simply the best! We represented the 9-12 group well in showing our love of country, and our appreciation to those who serve to protect us! If anyone else has photos they’d like to share, just email them to us at the and we’ll get them added.
