9 +11 = May 24th Primary Election.  Anyone interested in talking about it? or has everyone run over to Tea Party Boise?

The 912 Project is in an interesting position. Because our platform… our foundation… We are not a political movement. Based on Values and Principles outside organizations don’t know how to deal with us because political jargon can’t not hide when vetted by the 9/12 list.

The Tea Party has a different but just as valuable foundation (Much more political):
Reduce the Size & Cost of Government
Eliminate the things that corrupt our political process
Sovereignty & State’s Rights
Protect individual liberty and enforce the Bill of Rights

We need to foster an open and “public” relationship. We need to co-mingle. IF not we will become marginalized and they could become severely politicized. I may be ignorant and totally unaware of current conversations taking place between the leadership of the two organizations.

I was surprised to see such a low level of activity in the forum when I logged in today.

Sorry I saw this late.  Tea party Boise’s Forum was not active when I was last on there.  Post more often to try to make it more active. Pete

The last time I checked the Tea Party website, they didn’t even have a forum anymore.  I must say I’m disappointed that folks are not making use of this forum the same way they used to at Meetup. 

My personal theory is that once everyone became so involved in local “party politics”, that the generalities of concern about the threat of this Administration no longer held the same level of focus as they did last fall…  AND we’re all getting tired.  While it’s true that overturning those in Congress who would promote (or fund) the progressive agenda is essential in slowing our decline, it does not provide a long term solution, so our fundamental challenge remains.  In order for us to regain our footing, rooted in freedom and liberty, we need to seek more enduring solutions.  We need to salvage the hearts and minds of our youth.

I believe the future of 9-12 goes well beyond the next election, to help restore some fundamental truths about what it means to be an American.  We will be starting that journey in earnest with our 2010 rally on August 28th.  Please check our event calendar regularly to see what we are doing, and more importantly… how you can be a part of it!
