Hello fellow Patriots. I started this thread with the intention of getting to know other members more.

My name is Pete Peterson, I’m married with two young kids . I work and live in Kuna and I’m the daytime custodian for an elementary school. I am a California refugee and left California in 2004. I was a late bloomer as far as the love for my country gos. Was typical most of my life by being complacent but the first round of the illegal immirgation issue back when Bush was president lit a fire in me and my patriotism now is ‘Off the charts’. I felt my life in danger when I have stood up and protested illegal immigration in the streets. Another thing that help me become the patroit I am is when it finally sank in , when my pearl Harbor survivor ‘Grand Father’ told me their motto: “Stay Alert”

I now have educated myself on my own mostly and watch Glenn Beck when I can on what it is to be an American. Also, that this crap to our country has been going for along time. The only key to victory on restoreing this country in my mind is to educate others on what it is to be an American. We are not going to vote our way out of this folks.

May God Bless these American United States.

Hey All

My name is Cherrell.  My husband and I moved here from Oregon (what a culture shock that place is).  We are patriotic Americans with some Army background. Paul served in Desert Storm.

We have two grown kids and three grand kids.  We believe America is being lied too!

We want to stand strong with others who share the belief that we MUST do something to change the course of what this country has turned into.

In our younger years we too were complacent with the Govt. We thought they had everything under control and would do what was necessary for our great country to remain strong, fair and constitutionally correct! Obviously we were wrong.
We also lived in Az for almost 8 years.  Learned about the illegal problem first hand. Boy that was an experience.  Also a costly and dangerous situation there, spreading to a beautiful American city to you!

Before Az we were residents of Utah, the Northern part.  That is where we raised our kids and got lazy to the political process!  How easy it is for Americans to get busy with their lives and see the Govt take your freedoms away slowly.

Well to our current state now. Not happy with the Govt and most of the politicians running it into the ground.  She is still the greatest country in the WORLD and we dont want it to be taken over by those who want to rule her into socialism, marxism or any other hypehnated or attached ism.

What a great country we live in when we still have freedoms to come together like this and right (hopefully) what has been wronged.

God bless America, her leaders (only because they need His help) and her people.

As a hardcore republican, I believe I have the right to voice my opinion…And in all honesty, I cannot stand Glenn Beck.  He is “off his rocker”.  He only reaffirms the fact that we Americans have no one else to rely on for guidance and protection other than ourselves and our brave servicemen.  If someone came up to me I would certainly know how to protect myself with my open-mindedness, honesty, my Self Defense weapons, and love for this country.  Glenn Beck does nothing but sponge off others…sad, but true.

...anticipating some great feedback/opinions here.

@J_Hendell.  Your observation of Beck’s influence is actually pretty accurate…  but not for the reason you think.

“He only reaffirms the fact that we Americans have no one else to rely on for guidance and protection other than ourselves and our brave servicemen.”

He not only reaffirms this truism, he promotes it as a significant part of the answer.  The only thing that Beck (and I) would add to your list of ‘reliables’ would be God.  This is a nation founded on the principles of morality, virtue, and faith.  Man alone (even our brave servicemen) without such character cannot save our nation without “firm reliance on divine providence” as was commonly accepted at the time of our founding.  How else could that original ragtag army of farmers have defeated the most powerful army on earth?

You’ve apparently never really listened to Beck yourself, or you would know that “America is great, because America is good”... or at least it was.  However, the goodness of our people (which used to cause us to reach out and help one another) is being overshadowed by selfishness and greed, and the greatness of our history is being erased by those who now educate our youth by teaching that America is the oppressor.  We as a society now value our “stuff” more than the substance of our character, and the darkness just grows darker.  This is unfortunately the nature of man when left unshackled by a moral conscience for too long.  Destroying faith and family in this country has been a slow, purposeful, and very effective means of destroying the goodness of our nation.

We are now led by the most divisive President we have ever known, who understands all too well that keeping us divided is the surest way to finish the job.  Most of us have accepted the fact that our Nation’s problems cannot be fixed through politics or parties, as the entire governing system is corrupt.  Democrats and Republicans alike just tell us what we want to hear, and we cannot trust anything they say.  Certainly we must stay engaged to replace Obama, as it’s true that the progressive decline under the R’s will be slower than with the D’s, but it’s still there because the system itself encourages the corruption that breeds it.

History is very revealing for evaluating our current state.  Beck helps us tremendously by bringing us history from original sources (instead of textbooks), and he encourages us to be prepared to weather the ensuing storm.  So, like you, he believes it will be up to us and I don’t mind helping fund his efforts.  Many expect that the coming economic and social storm will wash away our “stuff” and we’ll be left with nothing but our “character”.  What then?  Do you think we still have the character to build again… or will we need someone with a pre-built plan to come and save us all?  And who but the progressives have such a pre-built plan?

I’d suggest we work together to form an alternate plan, rather than picking fights amongst ourselves.

I am John W. Redelf and I moved to the Boise area in December of 2008 after living nearly 23 years in Ketchikan, Alaska.  I moved here to be near my three children and my 4.5 grandchildren.  Our first 2.5 years we rented in Caldwell and then decided to buy a home.  We then lived a year in Boise while shopping for the right deal.  On Valentines day we closed on a place in Caldwell, and we plan to move in by the end of March 2012.

I took two semesters of Book of Mormon from W. Cleon Skousen at BYU in 1972 shortly after he founded the Freemen Instituted later called the National Center for Constitutional Studies.  I also attended the seminar on the Constitution taught by him in person in southern California.  My wife and I are reading The 5,000 Year Leap together, and I am currently reading The Cleansing of America, Skousen’s latest book published by his family after his death.

During my youth I briefly belonged to the John Birch Society, and ever since then I have shared their world view and politics.  My greatest heroes over my lifetime have been the Mormon prophets, Ezra Taft Benson and W. Cleon Skousen, in that order.  I feel really bad about what has been happening to America and stand ready to do make any sacrifice to restore freedom here.  I am especially upset by the recent violations of the 4th Amendment in the Bill of Rights being committed by the TSA at our airports and have solemnly promised myself that I will never fly again so long as this evidence of a totalitarian police state exists.  If I cannot travel by automobile, I will stay home.

I love this country so much it brings me to tears when I consider what evil people have done to destroy freedom here.  And I love those like me who are patriots and love the Constitution as I do.  I look forward to meeting with this group every chance I get, and I feel a deep gratitude for Glenn Beck for organizing the 912 Project.

May all of us remain true and faithful to Jesus Christ, and carry out his work of freedom in the earth so long as we live.  I know that God will love and protect us during the difficult times ahead, and we will prosper on this side of the veil or the other. I’m sure of this.

I thank the leaders of this group for their service to God and country, and I hope to meet all of you by and by.

John and Esperanza Redelfs of Caldwell, Idaho.
